This is the hyperactive Scooter, top, in a rare moment when she was still enough to pose for a pic, and above, this evening, after a very long day.
This is tiny little Mini. She's actually spending the night in hospital tonight... four out of the five kittens from her litter have all come down with some mystery bug. She's eating, drinking and generally comfortable, but it is a bit of a worry.
I did try to take one of the two of them together. Not possible I'm afraid.

KITTENS!!!!
Sorry about the hand, but as you say, this is par for the course with kittens. The babies are adorable. And of course you realize inquring minds will want to see pictures memorializing the raising of said babies... Keep us posted on little Mini's progress.
Scooter is a calico kitty, just beautiful. And poor Mini, my fingers are crossed for her, poor wee mite.
And the hands, classic "new-kitten" hands. Just think, the scar will forever remind you of Scooter.
wooooh! kittennnnz! so totally delicious they are. gosh, i didn't realise mini was so .. well. mini.
i hope this tiny wee girl is ok.
as for scooter - what a ragamuffin darling gal!
yer, foties of progress required in due course :)
We picked Mini up from hospital this afternoon. The bloody malingerer!
Let's just say she appears to be "better", which actually means she's behaving like a kitten, and giving Scooter hell. She's gone from demure to dynamo in 24 hours, exhibiting every bit as much curiosity and penchant for exploration as adopted sister too.
Nothing wrong with her appetite either... she didn't seem to want to eat the dry crunchy things, so we took the vet's advice and had BBQ chicken for dinner. From the moment it arrived, she went nuts, leaping up trying to get some. When we finally put little pieces in a bowl, her performance was reminiscent of a certain friend of mine attacking Maccas Fries.
Once she'd scoffed the bowlfull of chicken, it was a full time job to keep her away from the human portions.
She is sleeping alone though tonight, on advice from the vet, so that means Scooter get's to sleep in the big bedroom with Dr J. Somehow, I suspect there won't be a lot of sleeping tonight.
BBQ chook, will tempt a pusscat back from the brink, vets almost always prescribe it when a pusscat comes over all anorexic (something they do when ill, little buggers). I used salmon pate once too, expensive but it worked.
Yay, Mini is well. Kittens' lack of manners when they know there's food they like is just too funny.
