Vegetarian Goose

We were at the Chinese Reataurant near my parents' place the other day, and I spotted this dish...

Maybe it says something different in Chinese.

I think it's probably meat substitute. There are vegan Asian restaurants here in LA that use wheat and soy products to make pretend meat. Or maybe it says something different in Chinese...

I suspect it's tofu - why bother though? If you want to eat goose, eat a goose. If you don't believe in eating somthing that has to die first, why eat something that's pretenting to be meat?

Like, for instance, those ghastly vegetarian sausages or "not bacon". Erkkypoo.

Hmm. I'd be querying the "pippies in XO sauce" - isn't that X Rated sauce?

What are pippies, by the way?

I think you'll find pippis are what americans call clams, as in Spaghetti e Vongole, mmmmmm yummy.

Um... "pippie" is also an Australianism for... um... how can I put this delicately...

... um... the part of a young male's anatomy that he uses to 'go pee pee'.

Mmmh. Well, Chester, if that's the case, then I strongly suggest that you do not enter the restaurant.

And thanks for the heads up, if I ever see any pippies advertised in any restaurant, I will steer clear. In fact, I'll probably leave the restaurant.
